A national economic-development zone → zero-carbon-park assessment & operations

The zone needed to meet national zero-carbon-park assessment, baseline its carbon profile and run visualised operations. AMT built an assessable, operable foundation with a park data hub, carbon accounting and a control screen.

This case is fully anonymised and refers to no specific customer.

Customer
A national-level economic-development zone (hundreds of tenant firms, mixed energy use)

A national-level economic-development zone hosting hundreds of firms across manufacturing, R&D and support services. As regional zero-carbon / near-zero-carbon park assessment frameworks advance, the zone’s management committee wanted to baseline the whole park’s carbon profile (energy, buildings, transport, tenant production), benchmark against national assessment indicators, and build sustainable operations and an external showcase. The difficulty: data sources are highly fragmented — grid, energy stations, buildings and tenant firms each run their own systems, with no unified park-level data hub.

The challenge

Under the twin pressure of compliance and cost, these were the core problems.

Data is fragmented (grid/energy stations/buildings/firms); without a unified hub the carbon profile can’t be baselined.

Zero-carbon-park assessment is multi-dimensional, needing structured data to benchmark and apply.

The committee needs both an external showcase and internal operations capability.

The AMT approach

From the data foundation to compliant delivery — phased, end to end.

  1. 1
    Park data hub

The L1 platform unifies grid, energy-station, building and tenant data into a park-level data hub.

  2. 2
    Park carbon baseline

Organization-carbon computes the park’s energy, building, transport and production emissions to baseline the whole profile.

  3. 3
    Benchmark assessment indicators

Structure indicators to the zero-carbon-park framework, supporting benchmarking and application materials.

  4. 4
    Visualised control screen

A park carbon screen showcases zero-carbon progress externally and drives energy-saving operations internally.

A park isn’t short of data — it’s short of bringing grid, building and tenant data into one place. With the hub in place, the zero-carbon-park assessment finally has both evidence and a screen.
